  1. WINDOWS & DOORS - In listed buildings and conservation areas the owner is legally obligated to repair rather than replace windows and doors. We can repair badly decayed joinery in most cases. Because of our experience and expertise in this area of work our repairs will last a lifetime with proper maintenance. In the rare event of repairs not being possible we can replicate the existing. Windows can be upgraded with double glazing, draught proofing, acoustic glass or secondary double glazing.
  2. ARCHITECTURAL JOINERY - We repair or replicate architectural joinery including conservatories, porches, porticos, columns and staircases. Unique or historic timber mouldings reproduced to pattern.
  3. STRUCTURAL TIMBERS - Decay in structural timbers, floors and external structures can be treated and repaired.
  4. SUPPORT SERVICES - Condition surveys, planning and listed building consent applications, method statements to support conservation plans and costing or feasibility studies. Project management and material sourcing.

For nine years we were members of www.checkatrade.com. However, after a change in structure at Checkatrade we felt that they no longer represented the values which we originally signed up for as it became much more revenue orientated. That, alongside a 100% increase in the subscription cost prompted us to voluntarily leave the scheme in November 2018. At that time our overall rating was 9.83/10 in the four areas used by checkatrade 1. Reliability & timekeeping 2. Workmanship 3. Tidiness 4. Courtesy. Consideration for the environment is important to everybody. Repairs use far less energy, material and manpower than replacement. All of our timber is sourced from Forest Stewardship Council certified suppliers. Most of the products that we install improve the energy efficiency of the building. Waste timber is used to heat our workshop and glass is recycled locally.
